The inaugural Institute of Sport class travelled to the Millennium Centre in Auckland recently for a high-performance training camp.

Congratulations to the graduates from the Term 2 CACTUS programme. The culmination of eight weeks training ended with The Longest Day on Saturday 30 June followed by an award ceremony and lunch.

Last Friday the 29th of June three members of Nayland's environment group attended the official opening of Ecoland, the Nelson City Council Environment Centre.

On Friday the 22nd of June approximately 50 students and teachers came into the school hall and participated in Nayland College's annual Periodic Table Competition.

Not all students love the idea of dissecting organs. Some think it is simply 'gross', whereas others have ethical reasons for not wanting to participate.

The Nayland College Showquest team's planning and tireless rehearsing paid off when they earned the prestigious production award and attained third place overall at last weekends event.
