This year’s visit from Tawa College for the annual sports exchange between the two schools took place on the 14-15th May. 

We will be celebrating Matariki this year through our very own Nayland College Hui Taurima. The focus will be on learning about our local history and stories through a cross-curricula, place and culturally responsive approach.  Every Year 9 student will be involved, as well as Senior Te Reo and Hospitality students. Our Hui Taurima will be held on Tuesday 4th, Wednesday 5th and Thursday the 6th July.

A number of Nayland College students are involved in bands performing in the local Smokefree Rockquest Finals this Friday

On Tuesday the 16th House Leaders and Captains organised and ran their first house event: Capture the Flag.  

Featuring performances from Nayland College, Waimea College and Garin College.  Saturday 27 May, 7pm, Nayland College Hall.

Devastation. That was the emotion felt by many students after it was announced that Stage Challenge would not be coming to Nelson in 2017.

New to Nayland English teacher Corrin Vedder has always dreamed of writing a book.   She has even started writing one, describing it as a fantasy with a bit of magic, "a bit like Harry Potter".

Volunteers helping to provide a safer environment for our community, including patrols of Nayland College outside school hours.
