Over Easter, Monique Hopkins (Y9), Emily Olthof (Y10) and Mikaela Macdonald (Y11) travelled to Brisbane to compete at the World Skate Oceania Speed Championships and all three came home with fantastic results to celebrate.

Over the holidays Year 12 student Brooke Swan traveled to Hastings to compete at the NZ National Age Group Swimming Championships. As well as winning gold in the 200m Butterfly, she also won two bronze medals for 50m Butterfly and 100m Butterfly.

Scientists from around the globe are gearing up for a research cruise off New Zealand, where they will examine the mysteries of the deep ocean using a suite of high-tech instruments, and 2014 graduate Mitchell Chandler is one of them.

The PPTA has advised the Nayland College School Board that its member teachers at our school will continue strike action from Thursday 4 May to Thursday 8 June, with different year levels rostered home based on a schedule outlined by the PPTA and shared below. On 27 April four Nayland College students spent a day on board a boat learning about Aquaculture and career opportunities

With the threat of heavy rain over the next few days TDC has decided to close Stafford Drive at the Ruby Bay Bluffs from 9pm this evening. This means that the Motueka to Nelson via Ruby Bay bus service will operate using a diverted route while this closure is in place. Pick up at Tasman General Store at usual time: 7:20am (Mot 3). Mot 1 will pick up at Pinehill Rd at usual time: 7:25am, then all stops as normal through to Nelson. There will not be any pick ups at stops between Tasman General Store and Pinehill Rd. These changes will be for tomorrow (Friday 5 May) and Monday 8 May.
