Nelson Youth Theatre Musicals

Nelson Youth Theatre, now in its 25th year, is proud to present two spectacular musicals to ensure your families or parents are well entertained during the April School Holidays, Disney's The Lion King JR and Queen's We Will Rock You. Both shows are on during the first week of the April school holidays. The Lion King sold out every night last time we staged it in 2019, and with a huge cast of 150 children and teenagers, this season looks likely to as well. Queen's Musical We Will Rock You has been a smash hit all around the world for 20 years, but this is the first time it has been staged here in Nelson. The story has been crafted by Ben Elton to portray a futuristic world where musical instruments have been banned until a rebel group, assisted by the audience, set out to save the world one Rock song at a time!
