Grant Forman - March 12, 2020
Shani and the Top Team team arrive early on Tuesday morning (17th) to set up for a day of fun activities, and a chance for students to develop their teamwork and co-operative skills.
There are 3 sessions throughout the day: 9:00am, 11:00am and 1:00pm.
Each session lasts about 1 and 1/2 hours and includes activities such as a mixture of water activities, mazes, sacks and ski races just to name a few.
As the Sport Canterbury Top Team website states:
Here are a couple of well known sportsmen working together to enhance their problem solving and comradery. It worked for them.
Here is our schedule for the day
9:00am - Hub 1 (3&4), Hub 4, Hub 6 (6NM,6RF)
11:00am - Hub 2, Hub 5, Hub 6 (6GF)
1:00pm - Hub 1 (1 & 2), Hub 3, Hub 7/8
Q: What do the students wear?
A: Sport mufti for the day. House colours would be appreciated.
Q: Will they get wet?
A: Yes. There are a couple of fun activities that involve water. Therefore, a towel or a spare t-shirt would be useful.
Q: Is there a cost?
A: Yes, this is part of the term 1 activity fee.
Q: Do you need parent helpers?
A: Yes. We would love to have a few parents help out at an event. It is easy to do, and you get a full briefing before the event starts.
Q: Who should I see if I can help out when my child's hub is doing the Top Team Challenge?
A: Please let one of your child's hub teachers know.
Q: Can I come along to watch my child(ren)?
A: Of course. We would love to have you join us.
