Every two years schools across New Zealand are required under the Education Act to consult with their school community about the delivery of Health programmes across the school.

Although there are seven key areas of learning in the Health and Physical Education curriculum, the four areas that relate specifically to Health Education are:

Mental Health

Food & Nutrition

Body Care and Physical Safety

Sexuality Education

On Friday your child will be bringing home a survey where you will have an opportunity to share your ideas about how these four learning areas could be delivered at Oaklands School.

The survey will close on Friday 9 August at 3pm to give us time to prepare a report for the Board of Trustees meeting on 20 August.
