Writing:

This week we used food as the hook for our writing. Miss Chadinha/Mr Horn made waffles and Miss van Gelder/Miss Mac Farlane made banana-oat biscuits. It was a delicious way to start the week.

To make banana-oat biscuits, all you need to do is mix mashed banana, oats and chocolate chips together. Bake for 10min and you're done - healthy and easy!

Assembly:

We had an exciting assembly this week, with many Year 2 students receiving their bronze certificates. We also got to watch the choir sing and year 4 students play drums.

Topic:

This week students chose their favourite habitat to learn more about. They could chose between the ocean, arctic, savannah and rainforest. Students will now help to create each habitat (making animals/plants) and think about ways that they can promote the conservation of these areas.

Maths

Miss van Gelder's maths class did a number of challenges this week. Our favourite was the dot challenge, where we had to join 16 dots using only 6 lines. We also enjoyed a pirate question: take a look in the picture below to see the question and see if you can work it out.
