Week 7 in Review

Wellbeing

Each day we have focused on the zones of regulation. The zones of regulation are all about our emotions and identifying what we are feeling and why. Before school starts children enter the class and move their picture to the emotion they are feeling. This can either be blue for sad, green for happy, yellow for frustrated or excited and red for angry. If students’ emotions change they can move their image, this has been a great way to check-in with those students who are not in the green zone, discussing why and how we can get back to the green zone.

Art

Bubble Art, we blew bubbles in our own cup with a straw and pushed them onto the paper making bubble artwork.

It was very messy, colourful and fun the children enjoyed blowing their bubbles and making their bubble pictures.

Thankyou Cards

We made thank you cards for essential workers that helped us during the lockdown. We are very grateful to them and wanted to show them our appreciation.

We will be sending them out in the mail to a variety of places to say thanks to all the essential workers, you may even get one personally handed to you by your child.

Kelly Sport

Kelly Sport has been coming in on Thursday and Friday. We will continue to go out each Thursday for some sport. This week the focus was on movement, fast and slow and jumping over hurdles.

Maths-Whizz Certificates

Well done to Beau, Theo, Mitchell and Oscar for receiving this week's awards

We will return to our normal programmes next week and Reading books will be coming home from Tuesday.

Can you please ensure all books return to school so that the children can use them for their learning. We also need all the readers back too as there are a limited amount of books available.

The Green school fees notice has also gone home, as well as the Hero form to be filled out and returned to the Office.

Public Holiday for Queens Birthday on Monday.
