Welcome

Welcome to the Hub Miss Johnson and Mr MacDonald, the two student teachers who will be in the Hub until the end of the term.

Writing

In writing this term we have been learning about descriptive writing. Mr Horn's writers have been describing teachers in the Hub, while Miss Chadinha and Miss van Gelder's have been creating mixed up animals and describing those.

PE

We are getting really good at our different rolls. We have added the dish and elephant/teddy bear roll to our collection and will be adding one more roll before we begin building sequences of movement.

Technology

This week we picked our technology focus groups. Each option has a connection to the habitat focus from last year, and is all around growing more plants. The options were: 

- Birds: Designing and building bird houses to encourage seed spreading birds to come to the school with Miss Chadinha.

- Bees: Designing bee gardens to encourage pollinating bees with Miss van Gelder.

- Plants: Designing vege gardens and planter boxes to grow plants and vegetables with Mr Horn and Miss Macfarlane.

New Arrivals

A cartoon version of Mr Horn and Miss Chadinha have arrived in the Hub. They look awesome, expect to see a lot more of them!

- Our trip to the local library is in the final stages of development, look out for a notice about this next week

- Mr Horn is not in class on Wednesday with his ICT release

- Miss Macfarlane is not in class on Tuesday with her BT release
