Reading

In Miss Doig and Mrs Griffiths's groups, the children have been continuing to work on managing themselves and making sure they get their weekly activities done and done to their highest standard. In Chapter Chat this week with Mrs King students have enjoyed listening to Mr and Mrs Twit's revenge on each other while the Monkeys and the Ravins got revenge on the twits and they glued all their furniture to the roof of the house and then the ravins glued the twits to the floor. They were free so they flew away.  

Writing

In our Writing this week got to make and eat jelly Miss Doig brought in three different flavours Strawberry, Rasberry and Orange. 

Mrs G’s writing class joined the jelly making and got to eat jelly but then went back to their class to do their own writing lesson. 

 Mathematics

This week we have continued learning about time. In Miss Doig's class students made clocks and learned about how to make quarter past and half past times. In Mrs King's class students have been sequencing events within their days and they made their own. 

In Mrs G’s class the children learnt about analogue and digital time and ordered times in order of am to pm. 

Integrated Topic

For Integrated Topic, we have completed our paper Hub 2 design plans and have used the plans to construct their classroom. 

Te Reo Maori

We also continued to practice our multiple karakia we are learning to say each morning, afternoon, and before eating. 

We attended our end of term Mihi whakatau where the staff spoke in Te Reo and the students sung waiata and listened to the instructions they were given. The students did very well considering this was their first one. 

Shared Breakfast - This morning hub two enjoyed a shared breakfast thank you to everyone for making it such a great success the children really enjoy them.
