This week we awarded our Summer Blues. This is a special assembly and one that is steeped in tradition.

“Lift up your head, open your eyes and you’ll realise that this media we call social is anything but, when our lives are mostly digital and our doors always shut”.

The door shed its skin as it swung. Fragile flakes of black peeled off in its wake and fell to the floor, resting on the dry, withered wooden planks.

The Summer Blues Assembly which was held this week acknowledged the achievements of our young men who have excelled in their sporting endeavours this year.

One hundred and four boys and their partners made their way to the Otago Museum on Saturday 27 May for the annual Year 13 Otago Boys' High School formal; a great representation of the year group that made for a great night. The mix between food, music and great company resulted in a brilliant evening for the boys and their partners to enjoy.

Year 12 student, Andrew Medlicott, was recently named in the New Zealand Overwatch team to compete in the World Cup this year.

Term 2 has been busy with all our students involved in careers related activities.

Year 13 student, Ollie, is currently on placement with Cooke Howlison Toyota. 

The annual winter interschool fixture between Otago Boys' High School and Christ's College will be held in Christchurch on Monday 12 June and Tuesday 13 June.  Below is a timetable of events.

The countdown is on to the opening of our combined OBHS/OGHS 2017 production of Disney's High School Musical.

The school needs someone to research and compile reports on our historial school buildings and events.

Hello everyone! So I’m sure most of you have already heard about this but Otago Boys’ High School is participating in the Leukaemia and Blood Cancer New Zealand’s annual Shave for a Cure event.

The Red Cross Youth Emergency Preparedness Programme (YEPP) is designed to teach young people knowledge and skills to increase the levels of personal emergency preparedness within the community.
