Professor Gregory Cook  MSc PhD(Waik) FRSNZ from the department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Otago, gave a lively address this morning to a large group of budding social scientists and microbiologists.

This weekend, OBHS Year 11 student, Jack Fisher, is competing in the New Zealand Gold Guitars Awards in Gore.

This past lunchtime saw the OBHS Debate Club shouted a deserved pizza lunch by Mr Tagg.

Year 13 student Louie Cheng (Saxophonist) along with OGHS students Sarah De Vries (Clarinetist) and Lucy Pollock (Pianist) have formed a chamber group called the Saintly Sound. 

The OBHS and OGHS students have been putting in the hours in preparation for the upcoming Big Sing competition.

The Otago Secondary Schools Cross Country has been held at Kaikorai Valley College in very heavy and wet conditions.

Congratulations to old boy Hisa Sasagi who has been named in a 35 man Manu Samoa squad for the upcoming internationals in June and July. The squad will assemble to build up for tests against the All Blacks, Wales, Tonga and Fiji.

We are looking for new host families for the growing number of international students at our school. 

The school needs someone to research and compile reports on our historial school buildings and events.
