Over the first week of the school holidays Ben Mason has taken part in the NZ Junior Rowing Trials at Lake Karapiro.

Boudewijn Keenan was one of 105 musicians from 44 schools around NZ who met for six days of rehearsals in Christchurch with the New Zealand Secondary Schools Symphony Orchestra.

What better way to finish off a busy term one than a walk in the hills? An intrepid group of year 12/13 trampers set off to conquer Gillespie Pass as part of their circuit of the Wilkin and Young river valleys from start point at Makarora. Two of these young men were completing the expedition section of their Gold level Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

Last weekend a group of eight boys went up to Oamaru to compete in the New Zealand National Orienteering Championships.

Planning is currently underway for another trip around the volcanoes of the North Island (and this time, some earthquakes too).

On Wednesday 8th May school will close for tuition at 2pm.
