$690,000 Impact Fund grant awarded to address gaps in services to North Dunedin youth

Otago Community Trust’s Impact for Tamariki and Rangatahi Fund has awarded its first grant. A $690,000 grant was approved to He Ao Hou i Ōtepoti ki te Raki Charitable Trust. The Trust represents several groups and organisations within the North Dunedin Kāhui Ako | Community of Learning.

Our Grantees - Oamaru Tongan Parish celebrates church upgrade

The Oamaru Tongan Methodist Parish upgrade has laid the groundwork for future generations. In July 2020, the parish received $319,229 from the Provincial Growth Fund (PGF) to renovate its Eden St building, which had been damaged from water leaks.

Our Grantees - Matariki with Kahu Youth Trust in Wānaka

This year marked the first year Aotearoa, New Zealand celebrating Matariki as a nation. It was an opportunity for whānau and communities to come together to reflect on the past year and prepare for the year ahead. Kahu Youth Trust have for many years held an annual Matariki community event bringing the community of Upper Clutha togeather. This year this event once again attracted hundreds of people to the Wānaka lakefront.

Our Grantees - Ōtepoti Youth Space

The Ōtepoti Youth Space grantee video captures how the Community Gallery in central Dunedin was transformed into a pop-up youth space for two weeks in May - coinciding with Youth Week (7th-15th May). Otago Community Trust was pleased to be a core funder of this initiative, which was facilitated by a collective of creative and youth organisations.

Dunedin Volunteer Awards 2022

Funding Clinic's are back

Regrettably, with the arrival of the new Omicron variant we postponed and cancelled a number of funding clinics in the first six months of 2022.
