At Ōtūmoetai Intermediate, there are a range of Te Ao Māori programmes that students can be involved in. These programmes support the learning of Te Reo Māori, tikanga, history, and viewing local and world issues through a Māori lens.

International research indicates some key challenges with cellphones at school, such as being a major distraction for our students.

Ōtūmoetai Intermediate School area is visited regularly by Travel Safe and TCC Parking to help maintain safety for all children using the area. Monitoring is by CCTV cameras located on light poles and infringement notices are sent by mail.

Travel Safe has provided the following information on bike safety for Intermediate aged children.

The Mobile Dental unit will be on site at our school from Monday 3rd February to Friday 11th April 2025.
