A reminder that the PTA are pleased to bring John Parsons to Ōtūmoetai Intermediate School on Tuesday 4th April 2023.

Moving into the winter term, students may wear the black winter sports pants during Terms 2 and 3. Argyle Schoolwear is the authorised supplier of our school uniform and if people don’t wish to buy these particular sports pants, then they should stay with the regular school uniform.

Ōtūmoetai Intermediate School has started the 2023 year with 26 international students. It has been a privilege to welcome international students back into our school after the disruptions caused by COVID-19.

We had 17 students represent Ōtūmoetai Intermediate School at the Super 11 Swimming Sports on 17th March in Rotorua.

On Friday 24th March, 48 Year 7 and 8 students competed in the Super 11 Touch Rugby competition in Rotorua. The competition was huge, with exceptional skill levels from all. Our students performed tremendously and, overall, the students had a fabulous day both on and off the field. Students showing outstanding sportsmanship and perseverance, throughout a long, tiring day.

Liam Clifford had an amazing weekend at the BMX National Championships held at the Tauranga Track over 18th and 19th March 2023.

At Ōtūmoetai Intermediate we encourage all our students to enter the Australasian ICAS competition. Attached is a timetable of the sitting dates of each exam. Please note that there will be no Writing or Spelling Bee exams. The closing date for all exams is 28th July 2023 and each exam costs $20.70.
