International Day

On Thursday 11th April we are celebrating our International Day at school. We encourage the children to wear clothes that show their culture – it may be traditional clothes, clothes that are the colours of their flag, or something to show where their family comes from. We are also having a shared lunch in our classrooms.

Welcome to our new tamariki

22 tamariki have recently started their school journey in Pūkeko. 2 new tamariki have joined us in year 1-3 and 5 new tamariki have joined our senior school. We are excited to welcome you all to our Papanui whānau and hope you make lots of new friends.

Children's University is underway again for the year.

2024 is the 4th year that Papanui Primary has been involved with this wonderful programme. Children's University is supported by UC and Lincoln Universities. It encourages and recognises all the learning our tamariki do outside the classroom. This year we welcome back 9 children from previous years and have 13 tamariki taking part for the first time.

What a great day. All the tamariki achieved their personal best and displayed great resilience and sportsmanship. A big congratulations to those who placed in the top three in their events and thank you all those tamariki and whānau who supported and cheered for their friends. All results are listed below.
