We are living in interesting and challenging times ... Wellington into Level 2 and that's a timely reminder that we all need to be taking Level 1 seriously. I have included two health alerts received from the Ministry of Education for your information.

In Pūkeko we have been looking at forces. We used the planning template to help us show the changes in our two designs of a parachute for the teddies. We have put together a movie to show you our learning.

Children need to learn about computational thinking in authentic contexts. They need to be able to break down simple non-computerised tasks into precise, step-by-step instructions (algorithmic thinking). They learn to give instructions, identify any errors in them as they are followed, and correct them (simple debugging). These skills are all part of our digital curriculum.

Ms Cloudesley in Wonder Workshops got the children to channel their inner Van Gogh to celebrate Matariki.

Relationships are really important but can be challenging. Making and keeping friends is one area at school that causes a lot of angst for children and families.

The Community Dental Service preventive mobile has arrived at school.

Come along on Wednesday 7th of July. Mihi (greeting) will begin, in the hall at, 2pm and then you can visit classrooms and see what your children have been learning this term.
