Apart from getting two of my granddaughters drenched by an incoming wave at Sumner I had a great Matariki weekend with my whānau. I hope you all did too!

Thank you to all of our whānau and community who came along to support our first Matariki event. It was a real privilege to be able to host a community event again and celebrate the learning and successes of all our tamariki. For some of our parent community it would have been their first experience of an event like this and we have received some really positive feedback from you so thank you.

Today we had an assembly to thank Mr Kingston for all he does. Each pod made a card for him and during the week some senior students interviewed him about what his job involves. Check out the video and snap shots from the cards below.

The Home – School Partnership has the potential to lift student achievement – academically and socially. We hope to see a 100% turn out of parents and children.

We need at least 5 parents willing to stand for election. Nomination forms will be coming out next term. Please give it serious consideration. What a great gift you would be giving to your family and your community.

Last year PPS children participated in planting trees in the Cranford Basin. There is a chance for your family to get involved in this fantastic project.
