These students were very excited to see the construction of their new senior campus.

This group of students were able to get their first look at the senior campus they will be working from at the beginning of 2024.   The size of the buildings impressed the tamariki with lots of comments about it being huge.

There was further excitement when the supports for the basketball hoops in the new hall/gym were noticed on the steel frame.  This led to questions about other facilities that are being planned such as the football field with goalposts and nets.

Alex Feron, Project Manager for Leigh's Construction, met the group for a quick chat and explained his role.  Alex manages all the teams of workers on the site and his role is to keep the project on time.

The walk between our current site and the senior campus took just 15 minutes.   We walked at a very leisurely pace, crossing the road at the traffic lights at the corner of Main North Road and Belfast Road.

In the other photos, you can see some of the interior work going on with the gib lining starting to be installed in the teaching block.    The block with the hall and offices is at an earlier stage with the framing being completed.  Currently, the project is running on schedule.

Next term other students will get an opportunity to visit.
