Justyce Toeke has won a trip to go to Buenos Aires for a business challenge. This event has been created by the Latin America Centre of Asia-Pacific Excellence and Young Enterprise New Zealand.

On the 23rd May, I was part of a group of Queen’s girls given the opportunity to attend Launch. Launch is an amazing programme aimed at getting more women into the IT industry and giving women a taste of what the IT industry is about.

This event took place on Tuesday 11th June at the Edgar Centre.

Last week five of our Queen’s students competed in the second annual Pasifika Voices Otago Speech Competition.

Last week five of our Year 11 and Year 12 students travelled to Christchurch for the school’s first ever Ethics Olympiad Competition.

Congratulations to the King's Prefects team that won the annual Netball game last week.

The Otago Secondary Schools Swimming Championships were held on Saturday 18 May. Ella McBride achieved three personal best times and qualified for three U-15 finals. She placed 4th in the 100m Breaststroke. Mereana Martin competing in the 15+ age group placed 2nd in the 50m Backstroke and 3rd in the 100m Backstroke.

Musical runs 27-30 June. Tickets can be purchased from King's High School.
