Tree Planting at Styx Mill Reserve

In May 2019 a public tree planting day was held in Styx Mill Conservation Reserve as a public example to protect the trees and to highlight their importance.

On the 5th of May of this year, 22 students of Riccarton High School joined a total of 110 people at the Styx Mill Conservation Reserve to plant trees.

In the 2.5 hours from 10 am to 12:30pm, 1500 trees were planted.

Afterwards, there was a free BBQ for everybody who helped and it was a great step in the right direction for the environment.

A big thank you to those who participated!
