Remembering Past District Treasurer, Glenn Gough, of Rotary Club of Townsville Sunrise.

Past District Treasurer Glenn Noel Gough passed away peacefully on Saturday, 25 November 2023, aged 72 years, after a long illness.  

Glenn, who had a long history of volunteerism from a young age, joined the Rotary Club of Townsville Sunrise in 2007, and in 2017 became the District 9550 Treasurer. He then continued as District Treasurer / Finance Chair when Districts 9550 and 9570 merged to become District 9560 from 1 July 2021, until ill health prevented him from continuing.  In the latter role, Glenn played a key role in merging the accounts of the two Districts and setting up the financials for the new district.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Helen, five children and their families, and by his four brothers and their families. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Rotary Red Socks Project. Glenn’s funeral service will be held at The Uniting Church, Nambucca Heads on Friday 15 December 2023 commencing at 1:00pm, followed by interment at the Nambucca Heads Cemetery. The Service will not be livestreamed, but it is understood a recording will be available at this link later in the day.
