In Week 4 (23 and 24 May), RSHS will be conducting the Literacy and Numeracy Common Assessment Activities (CAA) on Thursday and Friday for selected Year 11, 12s and 13s.
The CAA timing is set by the Government and must happen during this week. Thursday and Friday will work as "exam days”.
If your student is not required to sit these assessments, they will be expected to be working from home. This will be recorded as study leave.
Students involved in the CAA are required to bring the following items on Thursday and Friday including:
- a fully charged device with an attached keyboard
- wired headphones (for use with the assistive technology, Polly)
- a calculator and ruler (Numeracy only)
- any other stationary they might need
- For those sitting two CAAs on the Thursday, we recommend bringing a charger for their device to allow charging during the lunch break prior to the afternoon session.
It is vital for all students participating to be well-prepared and arrive punctually at 9.00am or 12.45pm in order to start the assessments in time.
For all students sitting the CAA an email will be sent home with further information and instructions.
