RJHS Newsletter Term 2, Issue 1

KORERO FROM FRASER

Hi everyone. This is our first official eNews bulletin for what is officially now Term 2 of the year. I hope you find our new eNews format easy to navigate. We have made the decision to change our platform to ensure it is accessible by all families.

After nearly four days of the new term I hope everyone out there has managed to settle into some sort of routine. I have caught up with many of the teachers who are working away to deliver learning in the best possible way. They are enjoying the challenge of designing learning and assessment in a different way while also having to manage their own households as well.

This afternoon we are of course anticipating a change in circumstance within the short term and there has been much chat online and in the media about schools opening. At this stage I do not know any more than has been in the media. As soon as I have some clear direction following this afternoon’s press conference by the Prime Minister and subsequently a more detailed plan from the Ministry of Education I will be getting more information out to you all.

Learning at Home

by Rototuna Junior High

This week teachers will be asking your child for feedback on what is working well for their distance learning, and whether there are any parts that are more challenging for them. We will be using this feedback to help ensure we communicate clear instructions, help your child understand what learning tasks have been set and what to do if they need help.
