Pathways

We're thrilled to have our largest-ever cohort of students starting Unistart papers at the University of Waikato this term.

The Unistart program offers high school students a head start by allowing them to take university-level papers. This opportunity helps them prepare for future success. To help students familiarise themselves with the campus and it's resources, we'll be visiting the University this term.

Unistart

Our Year 13 students have the opportunity to participate in internships.  We're always looking for new placement opportunities. If you can offer a placement, or know of any, please contact veritycoker@rhs.school.nz. Popular areas of interest include trades, nursing/healthcare, business, psychology, and many others.

Sixteen students begin their NZMA Child Development course this week. This cohort will learn a range of transferable skills applicable to potential future career paths, especially in the education sector. Students need to find their own way to the course. If they require a bus card for transport, please ask them to see the Pathways team.

The Waikato Trades Academy program at Wintec begins this week. A large group of our students will be attending a range of courses, including construction, electrical, hair and beauty, and more. Transport will be provided for the first week; after that, students will be responsible for their own transportation.
