Practice Exam Week (16th - 23rd September)

As we head into the back half of the year, students and teachers are starting to prepare for the external examinations which occur formally from the start of November.

This year we will be having a Practice Exam Week from Friday 16th September - Friday 23rd September. Students will be on study leave for this time and will be coming into school for a range of specific learning opportunities including: practice exams, workshops, tutorials and internal assessments.

Rototuna Senior High School has also been asked to participate in the PISA testing by the Ministry of Education (PISA is the OECD's Programme for International Student Assessment. PISA measures 15-year-olds’ ability to use their reading, mathematics and science knowledge and skills to meet real-life challenges). This will occur on the Wednesday during practice exam week and Year 11's will be formally invited in by PISA/MoE to participate in this.

Over the next few weeks a schedule will be shared with parents/caregivers which will detail which day/s your student will be required to attend school.
