Annual HillX Event

Kingsley McGuigan's overall win at the second annual HillX event in Tawa meant Seatoun School tops the WSC rankings by one point over Wellington College.

Riders at HillX recorded times up a short sharp hill which seeded them for 1vs1 rounds and a final mass start handicap. Fastest times over the different rounds were then reduced based on their age for an overall result with McGuigan ending up with the lowest time.

North Island Schools Championships - Road, Track and CX

Ten Wellington Schools riders travelled to Cambridge to compete at the North Island Schools Championships during the recent holidays with many of our riders coming home with medals for their efforts.

Both Amelia Burkhart (Karori West) and Kingsley McGuigan (Seatoun School) became the North Island and National Schools U13 Track Cycling Champions too.

It was an excellent five days of racing away at one of the finest events on the calendar. All of the Wellington schools riders rode their hearts out and gave it their best - well done all!
