It’s thrilling to walk through the habitats after school and catch a glimpse of the conferences taking place between Children, Parents and their Mentors. There is such value in these meetings for all. It is a great time for the children to share their learning journey and reflect on what they've learnt, how they've made progress and what their goals are.

We are now in mid May and this means we are likely to see some snow and ice around the basin in the coming months. Here is the procedure we follow in the event of adverse weather. Please make sure you are familiar with this procedure. We will always be making decisions in the best interests of people’s safety, in particular the children.

Our staff only day provides time for us to work together to create systems that will support us to deliver powerful learning to our children. As it was last year it is a busy day and productive one.

School will be closed on these days:

• Wednesday 29th May - The teachers and principal will be going on strike. This is due to the profession's collective dissatisfaction with the current offer on the table from the Ministry of Education.

• Friday 31st May is a staff only day and school will not be open.
