We are really in the closing days of the term and 2017, Christmas is only 2 weeks away. There are many happenings in the next couple of weeks, details for these can be found in this newsletter. It is a busy run into the last day of term, if you have any questions about any of these events please contact the office.

I popped down to the touch games on Monday, with perfect weather for playing. I really enjoyed seeing our Shotover kids play and also being well supported by so many parents. Equally many of our parents also actively coaching the teams. To top it off I unexpectedly got the ref call up for the boys year 7 & 8 team. Wearing dress trousers and shirt was not the best uniform for this activity, particularly given the weather. I was really pleased with the effort and determination of our boys, showing some great pace many times.

As I know you are all thinking about it, 2018 that is, we will publish one last newsletter for the year late next week. This will contain the staff teaming arrangements for 2018, which habitats they are occupying and which year levels they will be teaching. Prior to the 2018 school year getting underway we will be sending out information about your child/ren’s habitat and mentor.

Also connected to 2018 is numbers, numbers, numbers. Planning is more accurate when we know how many children might be joining us and when. If you have a child joining us and is not enrolled, or know of a child joining us and not enrolled, doing this as soon as possible would be much appreciated. You can even do it online.
