This is it, the last week of the term. Just for the record we close this Friday afternoon (normal time) and reopen on Monday 24th July ready to rock into Term 3. It has been an amazing week of sporting triumphs and also sporting lows for New Zealand in the last fortnight. The Team New Zealand story is an incredible one on many, many levels.
A note of thanks to a few people and organisations. If, like me, you managed to make it to Winter Festival on the Friday night and consume some very tasty crepe’s being sold by the Shotover FoS then your taste buds will have been satisfied. Thanks to the FoS team for giving up a large part of their Friday to make this happen.
The team at Shotover work incredibly hard to make things happen for your kids. By team I mean everyone, there is a strong sense of commitment to providing and building a highly effective learning organisation. This means working hard to being better tomorrow than we are today. It is my pleasure to work with them in making this happen and I am deeply grateful for their commitment and effort.
Connected to that, we say farewell to Amy Snow at the end of this week. Amy was in with us this term covering Rachel while she was on leave. Rachel will rejoin us on the 24th. Our thanks to Amy for the highly professional way in which she has approached her work with us. We have really enjoyed having her contribute to the life of Shotover over the last 10 weeks.
This Friday we will bring the term to a close with a leadership assembly. Coinciding with red sock day we will be acknowledging leadership throughout the school. It will be a special one. See you there at 2.25pm.
Enjoy the next couple of weeks with your children, make the most of winter in this stunning part of the world or if you’re visioning warmer parts of the world enjoy.
