Well it certainly has settled into a wintery term! Loads of rain, wind and cold mornings - as well as coughs and colds. Big thank you to our community for supporting us to stay a healthy place and keeping sick children at home.
The winter months also mark the coming of Matariki. As a school we will be celebrating this special event and learning about its significance to Aotearoa. Did you know about all the activities being put on around the city to celebrate? For details on what is happening check their beautiful website by clicking here.
There are a number of reminders in our newsletter this week regarding some processes and systems at school - please read these carefully and feel free to contact your child's classroom teacher, the office or myself if you have any questions at all.
Michael Harrop
Principal

This is a fun day here at school where children come dressed in their Pyjamas and take part in fun activities in class. We also use this as an opportunity to make a positive difference in our community. Every year we ask for donations during Pyjama Day which we collect and donate to Waikids up at Waikato hospital (see their facebook page to check out some of the great work they do). There is no obligation for you to donate, but if you'd like to help us support this worthy cause you are welcome to donate any of the following: New children's pyjamas, new children's underwear, new soft toys, or a gold coin (we use any money raised to purchase more of the above).
