The purpose of the Learning Journey is for the learner to share with you their progress and achievement for the year thus far. Please support our tamariki by booking to join them on a journey.

If you live out of our zone (check this out on our website) and have a child currently at Somerfield Te Kura Wairepo and wish to enroll a sibling for Term 4 you must go into a ballot. The ballot for Term 4 2020 closes 19 August 4pm. Ballot form is attached below.

Next term our Y6 leaders are going to be busy around the school working on their leadership projects for the year.

The current projects are based on a unit of work undertaken last year with our tamariki. Several tamariki ideas/ concepts were presented to the designer,Tina Dyer (See some of these below). Tina then put these ideas into the concept plans for the Board of Trustees.

This week Year 5 started their Wonder Project with our two ambassadors Christine Parkes and Rico Parkinson. These two engineers are going to be working with 60 children in Year 5 to support their learning about Building a Rocket. It is great to have these two experts as part of our teaching team once a week this term. We appreciate the effort and time they are putting into supporting Year 5 with their Deep Learning this term.
