From the Head of the Junior School
Cross Country day is one of those traditional SMC experiences giving the whole school an opportunity to be together. It is a sporting event that has a real festive vibe. A combination of nerves and the importance of competition by some are mixed in with others who view this sport as a relaxed social run with your group of great friends!
It’s an opportunity for our older girls to lead and support our younger girls, parents to support runners and catch up with each other and teachers from across the school to participate together. When you also add in the weather that we had, you have a recipe for a splendid day.
Congratulations to all our Junior School, especially to those who were placed, achieved their personal goals or just enjoyed the experience. The popsicle from the cafe at the end of the day was well deserved!
