Year 1 and 2 Art Gallery Trip
Year 1 and 2 had the third in their series of visits to the Christchurch Art Gallery this week. The girls explored the Māori Moving Image display which was an exhibition championing film, animation and video art made by several generations of Māori artists.
The gallery tour ended in the Karaoke room, which was a huge hit with the girls. They were able to use the microphone and join together to sing A.E.I.O.U and Poi E. They then went back to the Art Gallery classroom to make some Thaumatropes (simple animation devices). The Year 1 and 2 teachers highly recommend this exhibition.
