John Parsons Parent Evening

Cybercrime is a very real issue facing families in NZ, but there are easy practical steps to reduce the risk. SMC invites all of our parents of girls in Year’s 5 – 10 to a presentation on the issues associated with the inappropriate use of computers, mobile phones and the internet.

Topics covered include online grooming, sexting, cyberbullying, learning to repel & report, future-proofing for employment, screen time, sleep and how families that eat together heal together.

Educating young people to understand the value of identity is the first step to using ICT safely and ethically.

Educating young people to respect and protect friends and family identity is the second step
