Ben Littlejohn by Mark Hamilton

Ben competes well in Australian State Champs

Ben Littlejohn was part of the NZ Junior swim team that took part in the Australian State Champs Teams event in Canberra over the holidays against the top 16 and 17 year old swimmers from the various states of Australia. Ben performed very well as a 16 year old in this tough age group placing between 7th and 14th in his four events of the 21 swimmers attending.

In the 50m butterfly, Ben broke both the Waikato and New Zealand record for 16 year olds only to have a teammate go slightly quicker in the same race.
