The months of hard work paid off and St Paul’s senior students once again delivered an outstanding community gala event.

A unique research trip has given Year 12 student Alice Cao an insight into the ecological systems of lakes in Africa.

Ninety-four Year 9, Year 10 and Year 11 St Paul’s students participated in their respective year levels, attempting to answer up to six questions in a time limit of one hour, in the Otago Junior Mathematics Competition.

Daniel Rickman has been nominated to represent St Paul's at World Vision Senior Scholarship week being held in Auckland early next year.

Two students gained a distinction award after sitting the University of Auckland Business School New Zealand Economics Competition at the beginning of term 3.

The problems are designed to test mathematical thinking and questions are designed so that they can be answered just as quickly without a calculator as with one.

Our swimmers are among the best in the country, securing top 10 results at the 2018 New Zealand secondary schools swimming championships.

Thomas Griffin and Brendan Hunt both swam at the NZ Short Course Champs in Auckland. Brendan swam well, achieving two personal bests in his four events, while Thomas Griffin swam brilliantly to pick up bronze medals in the 200m freestyle and 200m butterfly and silver in the 1500m freestyle. Thomas swam in a total of 10 individual events which was a fantastic effort.

Results from the UNISS Netball Tournament 2018 held in Mt Maunganui.

This year the national tournament was held in Tauranga and Mount Maunganui, with St Paul's team based at Papamoa close to the beach.

St Paul's second XI football team had an amazing season, going undefeated in division 3 of the Waikato Secondary Schools’ competition, seeing them defeat first XI teams from four Waikato schools.

Caps are awarded to students involved in mainstream sports who reflect outstanding achievement in their particular sport, and the length of time a player has been in the team.

This has been one of the most successful years for boys’ badminton at St Paul’s.

The term break provided an opportunity for the second of three new academic classrooms for the Tihoi Venture School to be moved from the Hamilton campus. The Science classroom has been long anticipated to replace a very aged prefab that came on site in the 1980’s.
