Tertiary scholarships awarded

St Paul’s has once again had a significant number of senior students gain tertiary scholarships for 2019. We are proud to have received news of 35 students gaining scholarships. Where senior students have been awarded multiple scholarships, they will need to make a decision as to which university they will be studying at in 2019. The recipients are:


Heath Johnson:
AUT Significant Student Scholarship ($6,500 per annum)

Thomas Brown:
Ngā Karahipi Uru Rākau: Forestry Scholarship (MPI) ($8,000 per annum, plus an internship with an employer in the forestry sector)

Temwa Chileshe:
University of Waikato Sir Edmund Hillary Scholarship (up to $10,000 per annum)

Grace Watson:
University of Waikato Sir Edmund Hillary Scholarship (up to $10,000 per annum)

Bevan Muirhead:
Te Paewai o te Rangi: University of Waikato Scholarship for Outstanding Academic Achievement (up to $25,000 over three years)

Anna Hamilton:
