Students feel the heat on Athletics Day

The weather had been hot in the weeks leading up to the annual athletic championships, and so it wasn’t surprising that it dawned hot and sunny on Wednesday, 13 February.

This meant that conditions were good for the athletes as there was little to no head or tail wind to contend with. For the championships, students could compete in a maximum of four events (not including relays) with a maximum of 36 points up for grabs. All athletes competed with real courage and determination in the 31 degree conditions.
