Weekly News Term 3 Week 5

Dear Parents and Caregivers

As we prepare to move into Level 3 on Wednesday 1st September, I want to assure you that we are well prepared and experienced at supporting your daughter with a mix of directed and independent learning. We continue to adapt our practices to ensure any loss of physical class time is minimised, while also being cognisant of the wellbeing of everyone in our community.

The move to Level 3 means that on line learning will continue, and we will be taking our direction from the Ministries of Health and Education. we will be sending out an email early next week with all the details once we have them.

While teaching and learning may look different for a while as we adjust to the new level and associated requirements, and an amended calendar of events and academic programmes, we are also confident in the ability of staff and students to be adaptable, flexible and focus on the future. In response to the continued time away from the campus, we will continue to review and adapt our learning programmes, which have been assisted by the delay of the NCEA externals. We will keep you updated on changes to the school calendar and information we receive from the Ministry of Education as it comes to hand. In the meantime please access the Virtual School shared drive, for updates, community activities, information, chapels and messages etc. All the best for the coming week.

‘Every mountain has a peak. Every valley has its low point. Life has its ups and downs, its peaks and its valleys. No one is up all the time, nor are we down all the time. Problems do end. They do go away. They are all resolved in time.’ - Robert Schuller
