St Hilda's Collegiate School

Dear Parents and Caregivers

Well - it has only been two days but it has been a good week all the same.

It has been fabulous to have students and staff back on campus, and some semblance of normality. While the masks and spacing remind us that we need to be thoughtful and careful around others, and that this is a different world we are living in, we have tried to remind students that there are opportunities as well as disappointments. Focusing on what we do have - what makes us happy and that we can still enjoy, is important at a time when many key events and activities have had to be postponed or cancelled.

If any parents need to come on site, please ensure you are wearing a mask and come to the main reception only.

A reminder that the Parent Advisory Group will still be meeting on Wednesday 15th September at 7.00pm in the library. The purpose of this meeting is to collate feedback on our current reporting systems and share understandings on the purpose of different types of reports. All attendees will be appropriately distanced and please wear a mask. Please RSVP by 3.00pm Monday 13th September so we can send out relevant readings in preparation for the discussions. Numbers will be limited to the Alert level 2 bubble and there will be tea and coffee provided. Unfortunately we will be unable to cater for this event as had previously been stated.

We will be able to confirm Term 4 events shortly, as we complete the planning for the coming weeks. Please check the school calendar on Kamar in the interim. We know the uncertainty around activities and the co-curricular programme could create some anxiety and we also have to recognise that some events may have to be cancelled this year, as we do not have the time or capacity to run extra events in Term 4. We are also mindful of the level 2 restrictions as they apply to school activities.

I hope you can all enjoy a lovely Level 2 weekend.
