St Hilda's Collegiate School

Dear Parents and Caregivers

It was lovely to see all the girls and staff back this week, refreshed and ready for the new term. Term 3 is a busy one of consolidation academically and having sport and cultural activities back up and running adds to the excitement.

Thank you to all the parents and caregivers who were able to attend the Learning Conversations – either physically or virtually. These discussion are so vital to your daughter’s continued growth and progress as a learner, and staff value the opportunity to have those discussions, which identify next steps for this important academic term.

This week we also hosted our annual Open Night - running the programme slightly differently to accommodate both boarding and day girl families at the same time. We were delighted with the interest in St Hilda’s and the very warm and affirming comments many of our visitors made, about what we offer here.

I was so proud of the girls – all so smartly presented, genuinely enthusiastic about their school and learning, engaging with their young visitors and making everyone feel very welcome. I can always guarantee that our girls are totally themselves on Open Night and so visitors get a real sense of who we really are, which is brilliant.

Thank you for supporting this very important night on the school calendar. I am sure many of you remember your Open Night visits too, and know how critical they are to St Hilda’s maintaining a full roll.

It has been a very busy week for our first week back, and the way the girls and staff bring energy and commitment to the school, tells me we are very well positioned for a positive, productive and stimulating term.
