After a huge commitment from the 120 participants in this year's Taiopeka Group, the students stunned the audience with an excellent performance.

Following on from an introduction to the basics of belaying, Y8 students have been going to Long Beach to put this learning into practice.

Great to have a surprise visit today from Mr Gilbert, ex Principal of Tahuna. He brought along his friend, the Ranfurly Shield! Mr Gilbert finished up as Principal before he took over as the Highlanders coach in the late 90s. He of course went on to be an All Blacks assistant coach and later coached professionally overseas. Thanks Mr Gilbert for thinking of your old school!

Tahuna had another successful night at the annual Extra Current Events Competition with a 2nd and 3rd place!

Rockshop Bandquest is a platform for the next generation of contemporary musicians to step out and perform in a supportive and encouraging competition format.

Chemistry is always fun at Tahuna but this year we travelled to the Mellor Laboratory at the Otago University.

The 2019 season wrapped up on August 26th.
