Last year in term one we had a school bus that picked up Peninsula students and dropped us off right outside school. This was without question, very convenient.

NZEI, the teachers union has announced a paid union meeting on Friday 22 March, 2019 has been cancelled and school will continue as normal on Friday. This is as a mark of respect for the 50 children, men and women murdered in Christchurch on Friday and to ensure schools and ECE services can focus on children and their needs.

Our Term 1 Parent interviews have just concluded this week with a high turnout of parents and students attending.

Teams have been invited to perform at Friday assemblies to showcase the talent within our school.

Combine an excited buzz of hard working students and many delicious aromas and you will find yourself in the Food Tech room with our fabulous Year 7 students.

We have had great interest shown so far by students wanting to join a netball team for Tahuna! We have held meetings and students should have brought home notices regarding trial dates and key information.

Students have been busy measuring, designing and planning their creations so far this year!

On Monday 11th of March Miss Brawley took 9 students to the Otago Lit Quiz heat at DNI.

Yesterday we had Callum from ASB to come and speak to us about Financial Literacy.

In Week 4, Room 20 headed out to Camp Waiora for a fun-filled adventure with lots of exciting activities!

Through technology the word is becoming a smaller place, it is vitally important we all develop skills to communicate and collaborate in our globalised world.

The year 7's have had a very busy few weeks with Camps, Hockey, Mandarin and Music lessons.

Jorja Gibbons was recently named in the Otago Grade 12 and 13 Athletics team to compete at the national interprovincial champs at Easter. The Meet is in Christchurch and Jorja is competing in the hurdles, 100m, 200m, long jump and relay. Good luck Jorja!
