As a school staff and Board of Trustees we believe it is a moral and ethical imperative to protect and celebrate Te Reo Māori, tikanga Māori and our bicultural history for every student in our school.

Many of our students have been learning about & celebrating Matariki ✨✨

Our Enviro Group has been working really hard in the school gardens lately planting and weeding, as well as cultivating veges and herbs to use for Matariki cooking.

Play is a child’s natural way of exploring the world we live in. Developmentally, play covers all aspects of learning – physical, social, emotional and cognitive.

Last week we hosted Mark Osborne at school, and he led some professional learning with our newer team members, as well as running some "Maker Challenges" with Kāhu students (they had to design and build a catapult, and a car).

Towards the end of 2019 we held an initial hui to gauge interest in establishing a Whānau Support Group. We had an excellent response! We were due to meet again this year but COVID-19 put a halt to that. Our next get together will be Thursday 23rd July, 7pm and everyone is welcome.

We are delighted to announce that our Board of Trustees have unanimously supported a proposal to create a support fund for our whānau.

The Board met in mid-June for the first time kanohi-ki-te-kanohi (face-to-face) following COVID-19 lockdown.
