During Week 6 of this term our whole kura (school) will be attending a half day at Hukanui Marae (10 - 12 March).

The start of the school year has seen a bustle of activity and we are well underway into another exciting school year.

The Ministry of Education has set nationwide attendance targets to increase student attendance. At the end of last year only half of NZ students attended school for 90% or more of the days (9 days out of 10).

We are required to report the reason for all student absences to the Ministry of Education.

Please remember that our driveway is a Pick-Up and Drop-Off only, which means that from 8:00-9:00am and 2:00-2.45pm there should be no cars left unattended in this zone.

We have noticed an increasing number of students arriving very early to school in the morning and staying late. Just a reminder that we do not expect to see any students prior to 8am, or after 2.40pm.

It was wonderful to see so many parents join us for our Term One Hui-ā-Whānau (Parent-Teacher Information Meetings) recently.

We would like to re-introduce our counsellor, Kelly.
