Market Day

by Kāhu Team

Our Market Day last week was a huge success with most of the stalls selling out! Over $1,800 profit was made to go towards the Kāhu camp in Term 4. A big thank you to all our families who supported the event by coming along or sending money with their child.

New Staff

by Tony Grey

Our team is growing! On Monday we officially welcomed 5 new team members with a special Pōwhiri. We have been so fortunate this year to have been able to sustain low teacher:student ratios and these new appointments mean we are able to keep this, despite the ongoing growth. As a new school this is sometimes hard to plan for, but we are appreciative of the support from the Ministry of Education and the strong relationship we have with them. Our staffing levels for 2020 will also ensure we are able to start with low class sizes.

Buddy Bench

This week we had our Buddy Bench installed outside Te Aroha. This was a result of a Kindness Week idea and the intention is children can sit here if they are feeling lonely or sad and need a Buddy 🙂
