Thank you to all of you who have been come into school over the last couple of days. It is great to start reconnecting with our community again.

On June 22nd we are holding a celebrate Matariki event in the Te Kura Mareko hall.

The hard work, love and care that has gone into building up an outstanding school and community garden by our Foods technology and 'garden to table' teacher, Mrs Lauren Dick-McCann has been acknowledged in two awards!

On Wednesday 1st of June, we held our school cross country around the streets surrounding the school.

On Tuesday 17th of May, Room 20 and the Foods Inquiry group went on a class trip to Styx Mill Reserve.

The teachers union (NZEI) has called a round of paid union meetings - Casebrook staff will attend one on Thursday 16 June. This is the least disruptive option for our school.

Last year Casebrook challenge club was started to help students achieve their gold badges. There have been a lot of students who have been going to Room 14 on Thursday afternoons and finishing a lot of their Casebrook Challenges!

Casebrook is the home of Intermediate School Football in the Northwest of Ōtautahi/Christchurch! We have five teams - four boys' teams & one girls' team. In each newsletter we will share how things have gone for our teams. A big shout out to our parent coaches, Ben Careford (Rovers) and Lou Fyfe (United) and our staff coaches Charlotte Rennie, Nick Leith and Mackenzie Goble.

On Tuesday the 24th of May the Casebrook PCT teams went to Cowles Stadium for the PCT course contest.

On May the 24th it was Casebrook’s first official week of Winter Hagley for 2022.

On Friday the 20th of May Casebrook Intermediate hosted a Pink Shirt Day. Rose Carney and Mrs Russell set up some activities in the hall for students to do. There were things such as spin the wheel and writing positive messages to a friend.

A massive thank you to Rose Carney and her whānau who donated a huge number of prizes for our Pink Shirt Day activities!

This weeks REP focus is around cyberbullying and making sure we are showing REP online.

The workshop will focus on Deconstructed dinners for the whole family, including fussy eaters.

We are having a mufti day and donations will be used to create raffle baskets for quiz night.

Our annual quiz night is back for another year. Book the babysitter and round up your friends for a great community event that is open to anyone that would like to join us.
