Great excitement as the Casebrook dancers, singers and orchestra prepare to travel to Queenstown. The group of 50 students leave on Monday and will perform at a range of venues during the Winter Festival. This is a fantastic opportunity that will become a life long memory.

Students have been working towards their badge goals over the past few weeks. Challenges range from making baked goods, learning new languages, to completing a maths badge. Students are working hard in Term 2, and showing REP values throughout each challenge. Scroll through some the pictures to see the variety and breadth of Casebrook students.

Congratulations to Caleb Cottom from Room 9 who has become our first ever recipient of a Casebrook Super-REP badge. 

Each year as part of the Outdoor Education programme, Casebook Intermediate provides the opportunity for students to experience skiing or snowboarding. Your child has the option of participating in this event on Thursday 13th August. Numbers are limited to the first 150 students who pay a non-refundable deposit of $20.00.  Prompt payment is necessary to ensure a place on the bus.

On Wednesday 1st July the Student Council is holding Casebrook's first annual Mud-run event. 

To be held on the last Friday lunchtime of the term. In the Casebrook Hall - starting at 12.50pm.

If you caught the latest copy of The Christchurch Mail you will have seen the full page spread on Casebrook - The School of Opportunity. We were fortunate to have this paid for by some outstanding local businesses, willing to let our students create their promotional material.

Our first win this season...

Inter - Intermediate Schools Cross Country

Blue Globe: Stories from the Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna O Waiwhetu.  Students chose an artwork from the Gallery's collection online and wrote a short piece of writing inspired by it.

Jackson Bond was our Casebrook winner of FIFA U20 World Cup competition tickets. His prize was to spend last Thursday afternoon at the World Cup with Stan Walker!

Thank you to the 85 families that responded to our PB4L survey. 

To celebrate Food Revolution Day on 15 May we worked alongside with Edible Canterbury, Project Lyttelton, the Avon Otakaro Network, the College of Education and others to create a Schools Gardening Hui. The event was attended by 70 people, including students and teachers from ten different schools.

On Friday the 12th June our Edible Gardens group went on an exciting exchange visit to spend an afternoon working with the Riccarton High School Garden Club.

Now that sale time is over we need to have all money and chocolates returned to the office.
